Watch Metallica Rock ‘Hardwired’ at BottleRock in Napa, California
On Friday, May 27, Metallica took the stage at BottleRock in Napa, Calif., for an early headlining set. With the sun still out and following a diverse day full artists like Chvrches, Saint Jhn, Fantastic Negrito and Kygo, Metallica wasted no time getting heavy as they opened with "Hardwired" from 2016's Hardwired...to Self-Destruct.
Fans can check out the intense and thrashy performance in the video below.
Watch Metallica Perform "Hardwired" Live in Napa Valley
"Hardwired" was the first single released from Hardwired...to Self-Destruct, hitting fans' ears on Aug. 19, 2016. They debuted it live the next day at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. That show also happened to be the first rock concert at the brand-new stadium.
This marks Metallica's first officially-released live video from their BottleRock set. If their recent run of South American shows is any indication, fans can expect a couple more BottleRock videos before Metallica share some performances from Boston Calling.
All of Metallica's shows from 2022 are currently available to stream and download via nugs.net and at LiveMetallica.com. They still have several shows scheduled for the rest of the year, including dates across Europe, Lollapalooza in Chicago and two stadium gigs in Pittsburgh and Buffalo.
