'The Ultimate Metallica Show' Recap: Kicking Off the New Year

This past weekend we celebrated the first official Ultimate Metallica Show of 2023—and in honor of that, I gave us all some words to live by, courtesy of "Motorbreath."

Don't stop for nothing, it's full speed or nothing.

As far as advice goes, that's pretty solid in my book. Metallica have been saying that for 40 years and they're going to keep saying it, there's no question about it. So, why not adopt those words as the 2023 slogan, mantra, whatever, of The Ultimate Metallica Show?

With those words laid out in front of us, we kicked things off with "Motorbreath" and followed it up with some killer tracks, like The Lemonheads' cover of "Fade to Black," Metallica's cover of UFO's "It's Killing Me" and my favorite performance of 2022, "Am I Evil?" live in Florida (just to name a few).
