Pearl Jam, Metallica, Billy Idol and are among the artists featured on the forthcoming CD and DVD releases 'The Bridge School Concerts -- 25th Anniversary Edition,' which hit stores next month.

Classic rocker Neil Young has been hosting the benefit gigs annually since 1986 to raise money for the the Bridge School, the Hillsborough, Calif.-based learning institution for disabled children with severe physical and speech impairments. All proceeds from the two-CD/three-DVD '25th Anniversary Edition' collection go to the Bridge School, directly offering assistance to kids with desperate needs.

Pearl Jam are Bridge School Concert regulars, having played the annual concerts numerous times over the years since their first appearance in 1992. They are represented on the CD and DVD compilations with 'Better Man.'  Metallica, meanwhile, have turned up at the benefit gigs twice, turning in a rare acoustic performance in 2007 that shows up on the CD/DVD in the form of 'Disposable Heroes.'

A just-released video trailer offers a sneak peek at the heartfelt performances -- including those by Pearl Jam and Metallica -- and the incredible spirit that pervades at Bridge School.

As previously reported, this year's Bridge School Benefit Concert takes place Oct. 22 and 23 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif. The lineup includes Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder and Foo Fighters.
