The second annual Fear FestEvil put on by Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett is coming up in April and the event keeps getting bigger and bigger. The music and horror extravaganza has announced the addition of a free outdoor Carnival of Chaos.

The carnival will take place outside the RockBar Theatre in San Jose, Calif. on April 11 and 12 and feature a freakshow, carnival games, hearse car show, Hammett's '36 Ford and a crypt along with various vendors.

That's in addition to the previously announced musical performances at Fear FestEvil from bands such as Meshuggah, High on Fire, Agnostic Front, Orchid, Ghoul and Asada Messiah.

Other musical and horror luminaries will be on hand as well, including Corey Taylor, Slash, John 5, Charlie Benante, Sara Karloff, Bela Lugosi Jr., Ron Chaney and Bill Moseley.

On April 10, a VIP party will be held at the Winchester Mystery House that includes a murder mystery dinner with Hammett and other special guests. That is already sold out, but general admission tickets for other Fear FestEvil activities are available here.

Metallica have some shows planned for the summer, including a headlining slot at Lollapalooza on Aug. 1. They'll also be part of the inaugural Rock in Rio USA festival in Las Vegas on May 9. The band has several European summer shows planned as well. For all their dates, go here.
